CH Minkitty's Cracklin' Rosie, a champagne mink, delivered her very first litter on June 26th, 2007.
The father is Rocky Raccoon, a natural mink.  Rosie had two natural mink boys and they are
healthy, funny and really big talkers.

Kittens open their eyes at about 10 days - sometime sooner.  The color starts to come in at about that time.
It still takes a while longer to fully determine the color and pattern of the kittens.  This is when we start playing the
'What Color Is This' guessing game. Being part of showing in CFA and being an active member of TBA,  you have lots of fellow breeders/friends who you can use as a resource.

 Rosie's Natural Mink
Kittens are now 8 weeks.  As they get older the color will deepen to a deep rich mahogany.  The markings will be almost black.  Their aqua eyes should be exceptional

Bonnie and Chuck from BayBonnie and Chuck from Bay Village are taking one of the kittens.  They are calling him Teaky.  Bonnie and Chuck just came back from a trip to Scotland. We planned the neutering of Teaky so that he'd be ready once they got home.
Bonnie and Chuck are not new to tonks.  This is the third Tonkinese that they have invited into their home.  Teaky is going to live with Sky who is probably a very distant relative.

Teaky and Sky

Here is a picture of Teaky and his new brother a Natural Mink Tonkinese named Sky.  It didn't take long before the two became fast friends.

Teaky a Champagne Mink Kitten

E-mail from Bonnie,

Hi Nancy,
Just wanted to let you know that Teaky is doing fine. He's such a beautiful kitten, he has lots of energy and loves to play! He and Sky
are getting along very well. I'm forwarding a few pictures so you can see how he's growing. We love him a lot, he couldn't be more perfect,
just the right mix of sweetness and mischief!
Thanks again for a great kitten,
Bonnie & Chuck

Oh and by the way,  as time went on kittens lightened and my two Natural Mink turned out to be two Champagne Minks.  This is another example of how some kittens actually lighten as they get older.

Still available is Cooper, a Champagne Mink Boy from this litter.
